Igor Kuwonu

What’s your role @ Chexology? Not just your title, what do you do?:

Igor doing what he does at Color Factory

Client Success Manager

I am a jack of all trades - I've worked on site as a runner/coat check attendant/manager, helped with conveyor integration installations, worked on training guides for clients, held demos, provided on-site and remote troubleshooting assistance, and that is just to name a few.

What is your tenure @ Chexology:

7 years

Where do you work?

New York

Tell us about your family (Spouse/Kids/Significant Other/Etc.)

No spouse or kids. My mom lives with me and my brother lives nearby as well. We are pretty close and have always been so. They are my support system and I am grateful to have such a wonderful family.

Do you have pets?

No pets but would like to adopt a dog at some point.

Tell us a little about your background. What brought you to Chexology?

I was looking for a part-time opportunity for winter break while in college. The rest was history. I really enjoyed using the app when I worked events, and I believed in the success of Chexology which is why I decided to continue here and help in any way I can!

The important stuff

What is your favorite food?

I would have to say delicious crispy buffalo wings, but there is a dish in my country that is a very close second. It's called fétri and is made with seafood (shrimp, crabs, etc.) and okra.

What’s the #1 most played song on your playlist?

I'm not sure which song is #1, but I know Bad Bunny is definitely the #1 artist. Big fan of his music.

What is one of your favorite quotes?

"And, when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it." Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist

What’s your favorite hobby or activity?

Playing video games or kicking the soccer ball around when it's warmer outside

What chore do you absolutely hate doing?

Cleaning the bathroom

What is your favorite form of exercise?

Playing soccer or riding my bicycle

What is your favorite time of day/day of the week/month of the year?

Favorite time of day is sunset/evening, day of the week is Friday and month of the year is February since it's my birth month and Black History Month

If you could throw any kind of party, what would it be like and what would it be for?

I've never been to a gala where people wear tuxedos and all sorts of fancy clothes, so I would probably throw one similar to the one in The Great Gatsby and it would be to raise funds for South Bronx United, an organization building leaders and providing opportunities for South Bronx kids through the sport of soccer.

If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would you meet? And why?

I would love to chat with Martin Luther King. I would want to hear his thoughts on what is currently going on in America and how we can continue the fight for equality. I would also want to really understand his rhetoric that is so often misused to promote passiveness when it comes to racial issues. As he so well said, "True peace is not merely the absence of tension; it is the presence of justice."

If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would do?

Buy some real estate, and invest. I want to have my money work for me before I decide to spend on any liabilities.

If you were guaranteed success, what profession would you do for the rest of your life?

I would research the topic of spirituality and consciousness, trying to answer questions like are we connected, why are we here, what does being human mean. All of these topics fascinate me and I would love to explore them in depth.

What is your favorite part about working at Chexology?

The fact that I've learned a little bit of everything from customer service to technical troubleshooting to flashing a raspberry pi SD card for our conveyor integration and everything in between. Learning is awesome!
